But First: An Oral History Of ‘Rise & Fall’

It’s hard to imagine, but before December 2012, there was no such thing as “Rise & Fall.” Kat & Shir took a lofty gamble, the show became a runaway success.

A show that locked 14 or 16 strangers in a house and left them to battle for the ultimate prize.

Today, “Rise & Fall” is in the middle of its 14th season, attracting millions of viewers per episode and feeding a legion of loyal fans who’ve made the show #1. Each season employs twists, some more enticing than others, but the structure remains the same: all in the name of the show’s mantra — “expect the unexpected.”

Heading into the jury stage, we turned to former contestants to trace what it’s like to participate in Rise & Fall and find out what they think about this current season consider this a houseguest tell-all, Now you have one minute to gather your belongings and settle in because it’s time to eavesdrop on the houseguests.

Hello,ed , heather ,sam ,James ,estelle , we haven't seen each other since All-Stars. Welcome to the show we are so excited that you all are here tonight to talk about you life in the house as well , What do you think about season 14.

ika Ed you look amazing, Let's talk about casting what a process to even get to play Rise & Fall I remember being asked to play Kat came looking for me saying it's been 8 seasons without my Diva showing up, it's time I told her no at first being her friend for so many years of course I changed my mind, I had so much fun

How did you hear about Rise & Fall

James
From the horse's mouth of course - Kathleen. I met her in this BB game before she started this series and she was an idiot who got me voted out. She literally cried and begged me to apply to her first season because she was scared no one was going to. I told her I'm a busy man so she would have to wait. Season 2 came rolling around and the rest is history.

I heard about Rise & Fall through Kat. I met Kat while "shooting" another "reality show" a few years ago and I had so much fun with her! We became great friends. I was very excited for the opportunity to be a housemate on her "show", plus I had wanted to try my hand at Big Brother for a long time!

Obviously I first heard of Rise and Fall during the planning stages of season 1. I've been close friends with Shir and Kat for a number of years so I was very excited that they were starting this series and it's really nice to see them and everyone else involved build this from the ground up and turn it into what is in my opinion the top org series out there. I don't play games nearly as often as I did when I was younger so it took until season 4 until my first appearance and I had a great time, so i'm glad i did. So if you're ever on the fence about maybe you should join, maybe you shouldn't you know just do it, cause it's really a great game and good time.

I knew the host personally so I know she has had this game going on, so when RnF4 happened, I decided to apply for it.

boog I wasn't recruited like you diva, I applied because I was a fan of the show! I had just finished a survivor game and was looking for something a bit different! RNF was that something different and I've been in love with it ever since.
Boys who break ankles, break alliances, with so many alliances forming many to be broken, Were you part of any alliances ? If so how did it come about?

I was definitely a part of some alliances in both of my seasons! My alliance with Nicole in Season 8 was definitely a highlight for me. She and I worked so well together and we made it to the finals in spite of being seen as a clear pair from pretty early on. I really bonded with Nicole the round that we lost both of our partners in Season 8. Season 8 had a partners twist and the house got blown wide open in Week 3 I think it was. I had been very close with my partner Caleb during the first few rounds, but after being nominated alongside him, and him ultimately getting sent home, I came to trust Nicole implicitly. I pretty much didn't trust anyone else for the rest of the game! Nicole and I managed to maneuver our way to the end and I think it was pretty impressive! We made a great team.

In Allstars I was loosely aligned with a lot of people but I did have some concrete alliances too. My favorite alliance from that season was called 'The Socialites' with Brittany and Memphis. Poor Brittany was gone way too soon! I also had a lot of fun working with the 'Gatorade' alliance later on, which consisted of Memphis, Nick, Zach and myself. My closest ally Memphis got taken out and I followed shortly after, coming in 8th Place overall, but Nick and Zach ended up running the rest of the game much like 'The Renegades' and 'The Hitmen' alliances did. I was super proud of them and was happy to cast my vote for Nick that season! He played an amazing game; so did Zach!

 In Season 4 unfortunately I didn't last very long at all, so I really didn't see any of my alliances grown into anything besides just a duo or trio. But I did have a close alliance in season 4 with Ed and Jade, we were a little down under trio and it basically came about because we all really enjoyed each other on a personal level. I also had an alliance with Amanda (which didn't quite work out right) and again it was just I really enjoyed her as a person and those how I decided most my allies in that short time I just wanted to be with people I enjoyed talking to and I really liked.

My next season, was the very next season actually. Season 5 the first All Stars. I didn't last long in Season 4 but some other probably more deserving people didn't want to play and production decided that I was memorable enough to bring back to rep S4, which is a lesser to rookies you know if you don't win, it's not a big deal; you don't win money it's just a computer game based off of a game in a parking lot in California but you know, be memorable, have fun, if you flame out you know you may get a chance to redeem yourself. I was basically the Da'Vonne of All Stars and I'll be forever grateful for that.

I got a lot further in All Stars, probably cause I had the benefit of working with close friends. I went into All Stars with three of my best friends in Kristen, Dixie and Estelle. So there was an alliance already in place there, we picked up Rhian and Ginamarie from my season; I loved Rhian in my season, we always get along brilliantly and GinaMarie I enjoyed as well so we all became a very dominant alliance. But you know in the end, Kristen and I had our own goals, everyone else had different goals and it all became such a big dysfunctional mess that looking back now is highly entertaining. I also had a tight alliance with Kristen, Ryan and Talla. Which differed from how I chose allies from S4. Ryan aren't exactly friends but I do like Ryan and I knew no matter how crazy his schemes I could always trust him. Talla actually annoyed me to hell for the first month but as the game grew on she proved nothing but loyal and actually became my closest ally after Kristen by the end. I think the lessons you could take away from that experience was that you know, obviously you want to have a connection with your allies but if you can trust them.. I think sometimes it's beneficial to work with people you aren't exactly friends with if it can benefit your game. Also if your alliance has different plans as you maybe, at least one week try to convince everyone to get on the same page so you don't have to backstab them every week

In S3: I was aligned with Andrew/AJ/Liza, which came about during a twist where AJ/Andrew became a pair, and Liza/Me became a pair; but then Andrew turned on Liza/AJ, but kept AJ close when Liza was evicted. All the while, I was also aligned with Ryan, and also Dixie due to the Australian team...

In AS2: I was aligned with the winners alliance: myself, Frank, Dominic, & GinaMarie. I was also obviously aligned with Andrew, Rhian, and Dixie, which formed because we were all stellar players ^-^

Yeah I was in a few alliance. I was with Gina Marie, Rhian and Helen. That worked out quite well for me but I knew Gina Marie and Rhian were closer so I decided to get rid of her so Gina Marie would take me but that didn't turn out well either since she took Jade instead lol. I was also very closely aligned with Jade and Sam and I was in a showmance with Sam but people were threatened by our duo so Sam was eliminated very early on.

James
Having played 4 times I've had my fair share of alliances lol with The Brolliance in S2 being the most notable. It was just 5 guys who came together and got to the end. Pretty boring though. As Rachelle I was more ruthless and while I had allies, I was more about going rogue and putting myself first.

ika :Yes Yes Rachelle was one awesome fierce bitch but personally you never know what to believe I was so naive believing I was really included in the alliance you never know who's lying to you while you're in the house thinking about it still makes me throw up a little in my mouth then I remember I won,

A tagline that became the show’s thesis: expect the unexpected. Alluding to the new twists that quickly became a staple of each season, What were some of the insane twists that happen in your season.

The first two weeks of season 3, we were in teams (Team Australia and Team Canada). Team Australia won immunity the first two weeks so I was just straight chillin' and safe. I was pretty inactive and then when we "merged" together, I pretty much worked with the Canadians lol.

We had this doors twist where each door contained something whether it was a reward or a punishment. I remember winning a reward where I got to take 2 people to keep them safe but it became a double edged sword because then people knew who I was closer to. There were other twists like the week I had to share my HOH with Rhian although it didn't matter at the time since Rhian and I were aligned. There was also a week where we had to play like Survivor and the HOH and POV comps were there to make you immune while everyone else was nominated.

We had two major twists in Season 8. First we played the first half of the game with a partner. Second we had someone come back into the game at the Final 9!

Allstars, as you ladies both know, was a tangle of twists from previous seasons, in particular Seasons 6-10. Oh, there was also a twist where three players and a prediction writer were actually one person, which was a variation on a twist previously seen in Seasons 6, 7, 8 and 10 . . .

 I think the most insane twist that happened in one of my seasons was the house split in all stars, suddenly we were in these two different tribes like it's survivor in a house and the key to any of these twists is adaptability, the house I was grouped in with happened to have most everyone I was close to at the time, so I just kind of laid back and didn't do much during those weeks. But you definitely have to adapt to these twists, you can never have a game plan set in stone because you really never know whats going to happen next so if a twist comes your way you weren't expecting just brush it off, fight your ass off and try to live another week.

James
My first season didn't have a major twist but it was the first season to have an international week where the houseguests would give out nomination points. In S9 we had the MVP twist which was a pain to deal with especially since one person won almost all of them haha. Twists are fun though because they always change the way you play the game. Sometimes it makes it easier and sometimes it makes it harder.

ika : A day in the life in between food and luxury competitions, along with contests to win Head of Household and the Power of Veto, the houseguests are left with nothing to do but strategize and vegetate. The only major rule: no cheating. Violating that dictum can result in expulsion. We all remember g0-gate..... Paranoia prevents people from sleeping. You’re afraid you’re going to miss something. Did anything happen in your season that stood out?

Well I had a showmance! I never expected to have one although I'm flirty by nature, I'd have always thought that I'd be having all the boys eating from the palms of my hand but Sam was different. He was flirty and good at strategizing so it was a good combination and we clicked well. I got so devastated when he left I spiraled into depression and wrote love letters to someone who wouldn't even read them lol. (I'm sure some of the housecalls know this story and hated me for it ) but aside all that I was really playing the game to the best of my ability and made moves worthy of being crowned the winner which brings me to the second big event in the game where Gina Marie betrayed me at final 3 and took me out when we had a final 2 deal going. I got so mad I blew up at her at final ftc and called her out for deceiving me. But even when I was hurt I still voted for her to win where she didn't even believe I was doing that for being too bitter lol.

We had our infamous house meeting in Season 8 which was pretty wild! My partner Caleb and I were in the thick of all that drama, along with Danielle, Matt and Ryan. It was pretty intense!

In Allstars there was also a lot of drama as you both know! I wouldn't even know where to begin there . . .

 I think the thing that most stood out in term as gameplay was the formation of Mystery Inc; the alliance I had with Kristen, GM, Rhian, Estelle and Dixie. We dominated eliminator, we robbed everyone like Robin Hood during the auction week and basically the entire first half of the game and no one really noticed until it was too late and they were walking out the door. So that's something you always have to look out for, you definitely want to avoid these power alliances forming and try to snuff them out as quick as you can cause there's sort of like an expiration date where sooner or later this big alliance builds up so much power that it really can't be stop unless it self destructs so you're literally on a deadline to watch out and stop these big alliances from happening.

I think what stood out to me the most in my first season was how I cost myself the game by bringing Dominic to the the end lmao. I would have definitely won if I hadn't. On the flip side, in S9 I wanted to win so bad that I got rid of all the big players only to have karma slap in the face when I choked in the final HoH. I don't remember who won that season. Other than that, g0-gate is probably what stood out the most over the entire series.

ika ha ha James once Diva came into your life it was never the same you will always remember S9

boog on my original season it was pretty boring, a majority alliance of 4 just ran the game until it came time to eat our own and I was the first victim! I went out kicking and screaming calling eventual winner Skye ( ) a potato. In my second season there was a bunch of drama but nothing more extreme than the g0 reveal, that was insane.

boog so this season we have finally reached the jury stage! It's very exciting to make it to this stage of the game but I want to look back at the prejury of this season. Did we lose anyone too soon? If there was a second chances season, who from prejury would you want to see return?

 I know we had a lot of good people here! I think Joshuah and Nicholas deserved to get a second chance. I knew Joshuah fought with his last breath to try and stay but I heard it was too late? Nicholas also essentially quit because he said Naeha deserved it but I hope that he would come back and really play it because I think he has a lot of potential too.

 I think we lost Joshuah and Naeha too soon! The others... idk.

sam
 I liked to see Sam from this season maybe get another chance, I mean he'll have to change his name obviously but he had a glimmer of potential and he was an all around hot mess which is really all it takes to being a fan favorite in my book. In front next season should probably just be 12 socially awkward schizophrenic virgins and watch the fun! I call that a party.

Hmm I'll say Ramsey deserves another shot!

I think the right people left tbh lol. I would have liked to see Ramsey stick around more though because I think he would have been entertaining to watch. Sam was interesting because of his villain persona.

This week we saw big threat Naeha Sareen leave the house. Naeha fought the good fight on Rise & Fall 14 and boy did she fight it. It seems like all Naeha did was fight her way through the season before being evicted last night after previous trips to the chopping block.

Naeha’s eviction seemed inevitable after so many attacks, but that didn’t stop her from being one of the strongest competitors in the game. Then again, maybe if things had played out differently she wouldn’t have had to be such a strong competitor, further reinforcing her status as a target.

Welcome to the show Naeha , Well done Queen! Being targeted like that and still playing that well. You are amazing! So proud of you! We have some questions for you!

Are you surprised to be sitting here today?

Not at all. I knew immediately after Shelli put me up that I was going home. I mean, half the house had already tried getting me voted out over two people that threatened to quit the game, so it's safe to say I was a goner the second another opportunity opened for the house to send me packing.

Do you think Shelli made a bad move putting you on the block once Liz took James off the block?

Eh, I guess not. To be fair to Shelli, I was apart of a decent sized alliance that didn't involve her. I mean, I never personally saw the Femme Fatales as something that was permanent, but once word got out there that it existed in the first place, it was kind of difficult to express that without it looking like I was just trying to save my ass. I think the answer to this question also depends on what Shelli's true alliances are. She was kind of a wildcard to me, but she could have easily been in an alliance of some kind with Howard and Liz, and putting up Howard may not have been beneficial to her if that was the case. I don't know. On an individual level, I don't think I was a threat to Shelli's game, and I definitely think there were bigger players worth going after, but I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt here and hope that she didn't just put me up because I was an easy target. My problem with her at the moment has less to do with the fact that she sent me home, and more about the fact that she kept me up until almost 5 in the morning making me think I stood a chance this week.

Walk us through your strategy to stay, why do you think it didn't work?

I had a 2 hour long conversation with Shelli the "night" before I went up, and it pretty much involved me trying to convince her that I wasn't the biggest threat in the house and that I genuinely wanted to move forward with her. It didn't work because by the time she held my fate in her hands, I simply hadn't built enough of a game based relationship with her to have her believe it. I'll be honest, after I was put up, I felt really defeated and kind of embraced my eviction. I could have probably put in a lot more effort in trying to save myself once I was officially up next to Cass, but I just felt really...drained. The people actively gunning after me had already made it perfectly clear that they wanted me gone long before it was even an option for the week, and after spending three weeks fighting for my life in the game, I didn't really want to give them the satisfaction of seeing me beg.

We saw you on the block 3 times in a row, unfortunately your lives ran out. Do you have any regrets?

Lord. I have so many! I should have avoided winning HOH as early as I did, tbh. I think I was in a decent position before I put my targets out there. Actually, no. I take that back. Being a huge target this early in the game was actually really fun. I'm somebody that doesn't usually become a prominent character until after the pre-jury phase ends, so being as...out there as I was this time around was a blast.

As far as other mistakes go, I'll admit that I went a bit overboard with the James thing during the week we were both HOH. I should have just took what Becky told me and kept it in the back of my mind, regardless of whether or not it was true. That being said, FUCK James. I would say he's the only person right now that has absolutely no shot at my vote.

Oh, and I probably should have pushed for Shelli to be included in Femme Fatales alliance. 

Who are you rooting for in this game? Who do you want to see join you here in the jury?

Kelsey and Becky, 100%. They were my favorite people to talk to, and I'd happily vote for either of them in the end. Cass and Kathy are pretty cool too. As far as who I'd like to see here in jury, I'm not to keen on the idea of Steve or Shelli being in the end at the moment, so I'm gonna go ahead and say them. That being said, I'm not ENTIRELY against the idea of voting for one of them, it's just gonna take a lot of convincing.

Who is playing the best game?

Becky! I think. I could very well be biased. I'm not sure if anything's changed in the past few days since I was evicted, but I think Becky has the social skills to make it to the end.

Liz Nolan, who was pegged by many to be the winner this season, came up short. Became the latest victim of eviction on Rise & Fall 14 this week when she was overwhelmingly voted out while sitting next to Steve on the block.

Liz really did play such an amazing strategic, mental and physical game that my friends, is amazing but it wasn't enough to survive this week.

Girl, we have a lot to talk about no matter what anyone say, dynamite game play you had your hand pretty much in everything.

Lizzzuhhh, this has been a crazy week for the both of us. Kels blew up our alliance and then all your connections got exposed. You did a great job campaigning to me today, and I really did consider all your points you were making. Ultimately though, I decided that it's better for my game if you leave, because of how much you had this house wrapped around your finger. I know you said that you weren't gonna come after me and that you were going to go after the boys, but I just don't know if I believe you'd keep me around long term. I love you though, and I hope we keep in touch after the game and get McD's <3

We saw you be so dominate in this game, where did things go wrong? Walk us through these past couple weeks, what could have been done differently so that we wouldn't see you here in the jury.

Things definitely went wrong in the last couple weeks. I thought everything was going perfectly until the Libra/Naeha vote. I really played the middle there way too hard. I should have sided with SLASH in that vote, but I felt bad forcing Shelli to do that when I knew she wanted Libra gone. But Libra was loyal to me, and I needed to stand by that. I would say that was my main mistake. Shelli and I could have used our next week much better if Naeha was already gone (no offense Nae). I also didn't handle vetoing James correctly. I should have talked to more people about it or something. I don't know, lots of mistakes and shifty gameplay from me as soon as I evicted Libra.

Do you think anyone made a mistake in evicting you over Steve?

Yeah, I think the girls did. It seems like Becky was the main one who didn't want to keep me (I actually think James and Kathy might have done it - not sure.) But I think Becky made a pretty big mistake there. I would have been loyal to whoever kept me since it was pretty clear that Howard had turned on me (I don't blame him).

Part of me is rooting for Becky because I love her personality but part of me wants to see her evicted so I know I was right.

Why do you think people evicted you over Steve?

I think Steve and I were both pretty untrustworthy to most of the players there based on how we've handled stuff, but I think I was seen as a bigger threat who could probably turn things for myself and win comps. So I'm guessing that's why.

Who do you want to see win this game? Who do you want to see follow you to the jury house?

Gotta send some love to my girl Shelli. We had each other's backs all game long and I loved getting to know her in this game.

I am only not rooting for Kelsey. She's stupid and wrong about so many things. I'd root/vote for anyone else who plays a strong end-game.

Who is playing the best game right now?

Becky (with the good hair) Burgess was evicted from Rise & Fall 14 on Thursday making her the third member of the Jury. We saw a very solid game from her but yet the final nail in her coffin came this week when Shelli put her up as the replacement nominee.

After falling victim to waffling allies Becky found herself on the losing side after putting all of her eggs in "Steve's Angels" and then watching it fall apart all around her last week. Now in the Jury we had the chance to ask her about a few of those decisions.

ika Looking back, how do you feel about your strategy to play as a free agent to both sides before trying to settle in with one group?

Looking back, how do you feel about your strategy to play as a free agent to both sides before trying to settle in with one group?

It...wasn't really smart I guess? Like, I'm not sure I would describe myself as a free agent. I was totally loyal to the BB17 pack, and I told them everything about what I was doing in my game. And a couple of things became abundantly clear over the past two rounds. One, was that I definitely trusted them more than they trusted me. I think as soon as they knew I was in a completely separate alliance, I moved to the bottom of the group. Another, was that they weren't telling me as much as I was telling them. It's obvious they had connections with other people in the cast (Liz you had an alliance with Libra?? wtf).

Overall, I think it was a huge mistake to put as much trust into the Angels that I did, but I felt SO good about that alliance and the people in it. It was too late before I realized that it had two of the most incompetent players (Steve, who was a wreck who caved under the slightest pressure, and Shell, who is honestly one of the fakest people I've ever met and clearly just thought I was a rat). Liz was competent, but she had alliances with the whole cast so what good did that do me LOL love you though girluhh

Which remaining HG right now do you see as having the best chance to make it to the end?

Good question! I honestly don't know. From the girls, I think it's gonna be Kathy. She is probably the sneakiest fucking bitch ever, and I give her major props for how much she's been manipulating this house. From the guys, I honestly think it'll be Howard or James. Howard is YET to touch the block and no one is really looking at him as a target. And James will slide to the end because he has become an official goat. NO ONE wants to target him, and when they do, he ends up getting the veto used on him or wins the veto. He is very underestimated in this game, and the fact of the matter is I respect it.

What do you feel was the biggest mistake you made in the game?

I said it before, I think it was trusting the Angels! I should've withheld information from them, because in the end it just gave them more ammo to use against me. I think it would've been smart for me to ACTUALLY rat out that alliance once I saw its end coming when Steve put Nae on the block. I think I should've known the alliance was about to crumble and it would've helped me escape the carnage. INSTEAD I just got accused of ratting it out, which honestly still infuriates me to think about because of how fucking loyal I was to that group.

What would you do differently if you had a chance?

Not worked with the Angels staring to notice a theme here?

It's really a tough call though, because if I didn't work with the Angels then I wouldve ended up still working closely with Kels probably. And like...the girl is a fucking scary game player. Reading that goodbye message, it's actually shocking that Kels only really thought of me as a "threat" because I thought of her as a close friend and someone I wanted to work with to the fucking end. People who are willing to smile at you and then stab you in the back without any remorse are honestly kinda scary and kinda gross (but if Kels is who I think she is I'm not shocked at all by her actions tbh).

If I could do it all again, I think I would've put more eggs into my relationship with Arlie. Dude is a fucking bro, and I REALLY hope he makes it to the end. I didn't really think he trusted me that much until the last couple rounds, and he's the only person I would be HAPPY with in a a winner as opposed to apathetic or just plain don't want to.

How did your strategy going in to the game stand up with how you ended up having to play?

I think I played pretty closely to how I said I was going to, iirc? I said I was gonna lay low and use my social charm to get to jury, which was pretty spot on. I think where I went wrong is the fact that my connections were not as stable as I thought AND I couldn't win the necessary comps to keep myself safe.

Who do you blame for your eviction?

I don't know for sure because really, the entire cast gave me the cold shoulder (except Arlie xoxo). I don't really know who was the major pusher. Obviously I blame Shell for being kinda fake and putting me up, and I blame Kels for just outright betraying me. But other than that, I'm not TOTALLY sure who to blame.

Do you still feel it was the right move to evict Liz over Steve?

Honestly no! I think I should've evicted Steve last round. It's obvious now that Steve did not trust me at all, and I obviously wonder how much of his emotional "I would never lie to you becky xoxo" personality was a front. If I had fought more to keep Liz in, maybe I wouldn't have been on the block at all this week!

Also I'm honestly FLOORED that I only got one good bye message. Like I said in the eviction thread, they have LITERALLY the WORST jury management. I guess if everyone sucks at managing a jury though then it doesn't really matter right?

Ok so we're on double eviction night, I've been up for 35 hours, because I started another job, worked from 10pm-7am, then had to work again 3pm-8pm, then got home had to do some hosting for a series I'm involved in and then go straight into this fucking live night. Kelsey was winning for a while and I was PUMPED, because she was my new closest ally (even if her and Shady Shelli are close). Then we go into veto, and I'm exhausted so I'm just trying to win so I can save Howard and we can get someone else out of the game. Howard wins and this is about 35 minutes prior to my eviction? I said I'm scared to be renominee and I'm quite literally falling asleep at my computer at this point. To which Howard responds *As I pull out my AIM Logs on Live TV*

"dude i know that feel, i think your gonna stay cause you got me

but you also got kelsey whose pushing for an arlie vote"

So he vetoes himself and I get renominated and I already have Kelsey and Cass who want to save me but we need Howard.

Like quite literally it was just shown there that if Howard wasn't a shady bitch who pussied out, I'd be in the game with a majority alliance of Kelsey/Cass/Howard/Myself in the Final 6 against Steve/Shelli. As for being shocked, I'd say I wasn't because he told me he was voting me out, anger is more the word I would use. Betrayed. I reached out to everyone except Shelli because I told her I was done with her because of her shady gameplay and lying about our relationship in the game to nominate me. I wasn't relying on Howard's word, but I was stunned when he kept Arlie who has done nothing over me. He would've put himself into a majority with myself and Kelsey able to play in the next HOH Challenge and keep him safe. I just think it was an unbelievably stupid move and I can't wait to see him eliminated.

The one vote was from Kelsey, and I would've saved Howard had I won POV.

I think my social game was a little better than perceived. I was having conversations and being criticized for not talking game... Talking game is a two way street, I can't be expected to be the only one to want to talk game.

Howard Overby was evicted from Rise & Fall 14 last night by unanimous vote. The 29-year-old youth counselor from Mississippi, was competition threat through out the game until he came up short by not winning the veto to secure his safety.

He was part of the second failed alliance of the season, SLASH. Though the alliance looked to be strong — on paper, at least — it was quickly dismantled after one of its own members, Liz, turned.

i added her to the group chat because she asked to be added to it as a joke of sorts, and my shitty logic of "well shit i gotta please the hoh" took over.

What was your plan to try and survive this week once the nominations were final?

i was gonna suck up to steve and shelli, and try to ship a threat status of sorts as a method to save me. i dont think it would've worked regardless, but no one let me campaign either. my time was cut short after i took a nap and ate dinner. 7 hours is BULL!

Do you feel anyone made a mistake in evicting you and keeping Arlie?

i think it's safer to make a response to this after a week or two, but i do think kelsey would've been in trouble if anyone other than steve won hoh this week. i'll know a bit more as the next juror gets on in here.

Who is playing the best game?

i feel like steve and shelli are both playing awesome games, and if kelsey can muscle her way to the end, she'll have an amazing story as well. i think arlie didn't try hard enough with people outside the alliance, and cass hasn't tried hard enough to be her own player.

Who are you rooting for? Rooting against?

i'm trying not to be bitter, but the 7 hour vote time was just a shitty way to leave, not being able to campaign for your eviction is so frustrating and feels like a slap in the face, especially with how much effort i gave throughout the game. steve and shelli really shoulda let me talk to them before voting, even if their mind was made up.

Cassandra Shahinfar was evicted from Rise & Fall 14 last night making her the seventh member of the Jury. There have been few players on “Rise & Fall” this season quite like Cassandra, at least in terms of the enthusiasm and cutthroat gameplay she brought to the show.

Even though she was the most nominated houseguest this season she wasn’t afraid to cut anyone on her way to the grand prize, but at the same time she also had a real talent for manipulating other people into thinking she was with them. Unfortunately for her she wasn't able to survive this week.
