We saw you have a public dislike for Shelli these past few rounds, where did this beef come from? Do you think this rivalry hurt your game?

Pretty much ever since I nommed her, it feels like she held this grudge in for a long time that hasn't tried to get over it. Since then, I've tried a lot to make ammends and have tried to keep an open communication going with her but I haven't felt much trying on her end.  She barely gives me anything to respond back to so it all just ends in an "kthxbye" awkward way.  She also says that she didn't want it to be a back and forth thing well...  look what happened there, not my fault! I tried with her and clearly she wasn't interested in wanting to try to make ammends let alone, feel like wanting to talk to me; I can just tell by the ways of talking to her.  Sure, it might've hurt me but I still have no regrets in trying with her. I still laid my game talks with her low because I knew I didn't trust her that she would leak whatever I say.  


Boog : The veto wasn't used this week, do you think this was a wasted opportunity or do you think it was smart for Shelli not to use it which led to your eviction?

Well she won HOH this round so no, its not quite a waste. However, if she brings Kelsey to the end and Kels beats her then yes, wasted and missed opportunity. 

Ika : You seem to know your eviction was happening as soon as the veto ceremony happened, do you think there was anything you could have done differently to get Arlie evicted over yourself?

No, I don't think I could do anything differently unless I was against Kelsey.  It was pretty much like the Howard eviction where everyone was all set in stone.  I think Kelsey could've kept me but I believe Steve will just send me out anyways... plus, Kelsey kinda blew up my entire game to my face the night before I did the veto, like she got me to admit everything so I don't think she was set on keeping me as well.  

Ika : We saw you on the block a lot this season, why do you think that was? Was it annoying to be nominated so many times?

Well week 2, I was nommed by Howard which I agree with because that was early in the game and I haven't gotten to talk to him that much yet. Afterwards, yeah it got annoying cause it was only Shelli that nommed me after her saying, "I don't want this to be a whole back and forth thing blahblahblah, I like you" and all that bullshit. She's just gotten so fake with her speeches and everything.  She's SO fake.   I'd vote for Arlie over her, I just can't stand the way she talks to people outside who she's really working with.   She may have won so many comps but her social game.. literally sucks. 

Boog : Who is playing the best game and who is playing the worst game? & Why?

Best: Kelsey, I think she's manipulated a lot of people and still shocked that she wasn't put up next to me.  
Worst: Shelli- worst social game, Steve- wtf is his game really?

Rise & Fall super fan may have been evicted last night, but that won’t be the last we see of Arlie Shaban since he’ll be sitting on the jury to vote for which contestant will receive the ultimate prize.

Arlie, who is proof positive that being a self-described super-fan who has studied the ins and outs of Rise & Fall strategy doesn’t necessarily provide an advantage.

In fact, Arlie still hasn’t figured out how it all went wrong. Why don't we try to figure this out together.

ika : Arlie, you were a quiet and nice guy all season but saw a colorful goodbye directed at Steve, what was going through you mind after the eviction? Do you think Steve ruined his game by evicting you and responding multiple times to your comments?

Ika : Arlie, you were a quiet and nice guy all season but saw a colorful goodbye directed at Steve, what was going through you mind after the eviction? Do you think Steve ruined his game by evicting you and responding multiple times to your comments?

- I was trying to sort of calm myself down during the game from how I normally am for sure, but before, during, and after the eviction I was just in complete disbelief. It wasn't in disbelief over being evicted, since I had a feeling that would happen if Steve won POV, but over his reasoning and the way he went about it. It just felt like suddenly he thought I was "below him" and that he was above having to hear me out or listen to what I was saying. Adding in that he didn't seem to care if he was right or not, or to give me basic respect for the times we'd helped each other and it just made me feel kind of sick. I think he ruined his game by evicting me yeah, but I don't think his intent with his first response was. His kind of classless second response though? Well, different story.


Boog : You came to the jury and saw you had some support from them, how does it feel to get so close to the end but come up short?

- On one hand, yeah it's good to see that I had some Jury support coming in here since I just figured most of them would be hating me. That being said, being so close to the Final 3, and even Final 2 after all the time, effort, and hard work I put into this game leaves me with a sense of disappointment in myself. Yeah, I did pretty good making it as far as I did, but I can't help but feel I could have done so much better.


Boog : Give us a breakdown of the final 3, what have they done right this game and what have they done wrong. Who is playing the best?

- I'd definitely say Kelsey's playing the best out of them. She's managed to work her way through the game with some solid alliances, is fairly strong in challenges, and has shaken things up with both of her HOHs. Not to mention that she's barely ever been on the block even with people calling for her to be up there. With Shelli, her strong competition game has really helped her out, and she's had a couple of good strategic ideas. Unfortunately, she and Steve have a tendency to rub people the wrong way. And speaking of Steve, I guess I have to give it to him for being good at endurance and having the whole "initially nice" thing going for him, but...I really don't think he's as clever or anything as he thinks, and he can really come across as arrogant or condescending at times.


Boog : Do you have any regrets?

- Other than getting in my head way too much and not winning an HOH or POV, looking back I really regret how I handled things with my differing allies after Liz went. I tried to pretty much have my cake and eat it too by trying to have it so my things with Becky and Cass combined with my things with Shelli/Steve/Howard. What I should have done is just straight up picked a side, and since Becky was ultimately my number 1...I probably should have gone to her and seen about the possibility of forming something with Becky/Kathy/Cass/Kelsey for at least a little bit. Sure, it's easy to say it wouldn't have worked since Shelli won the next HOH, but it would have really led to a bunch of things getting switched around the week after.


Ika : What will you be basing your vote on?

- I'm basing my vote on who I think played the most overall "complete" game. Not just "who won the most comps" or "who tried to make the most alliances possible". With me, I'm going to also be looking at things like social skills, strategic prowess, gameplan, how they worked with the situations they were dealt, and how much I think they succeeded in positioning themselves to have the best chance of winning the game.


Ika : Okay, so let’s talk challenges. There’s throwing a challenge, but there were some times at home I was like ‘this guy is going WAY over the top here, what's really going on?

- What's really going on is that I found out I kick ass at BOTB Competitions, that's what! Really though, it sort of like I really got in my head and psyched myself out with the Comps. I overthink things a lot of times, so I have a tendency to make stuff more complicated than it needs to be and come up just short as a result. While it's true that there were some comps that I figured wouldn't be the end of the world if I lost, like the ones in the First 2 weeks, there really were some that I wanted to win pretty badly and just lost horribly by becoming my own worst enemy. I was really close on some of them though, and things could've been so different if that POV I initally tied on went my way.

Before Rise & Fall 14 could reveal the Final 2, there was one more eviction and one more Houseguest to add to the Jury. After Shelli Poole won the final HOH of the season, she chose to evict Kelsey Faith and bring Steve Moses to the finals.

Kelsey started this game out under the radar and built strong momentum as jury approached. When Kelsey won HOH this season she made sure drama erupted making heads everywhere roll and the outcome played perfectly to make sure she was in the clear. From getting Howard to adding her to the SLASH group chat to her taking out clear contender, Liz, she took this game by storm. Her social game saved her on multiple occasions when it appeared she would be the most logical person to be evicted. She held her own in this game and coming up very short of the finale is devastating.

Thanks Boog! I'm happy that just being myself and being creative in my endeavors paid off and became Kelsey.

I think her chances are extremely strong against Steve, I think people see her as having a more well-rounded game than Steve. In addition, differentiating perspectives are always going to come into play and that's why I was going to take Shelli out as well had I won the final HOH.

ika : Describe to us the feeling of getting this close to end but coming up short. Do you think there was anything you could have done differently?

Won the Head of Household for myself. Shelli and I were planning the same type of end-game plan with Steve. I feel content with myself, how I played and the strength I showed even when things were getting tough. To feel anything but proud just wouldn't be right. Each experience no matter in what medium grows us as a person and I definitely am happy I had this opportunity.  


boog : What will you be basing your jury vote on?

On who played the best game. I love the strategic aspect of this game and the different level of thinking it brings to the table. Social gameplay is also important but I bonded closely with both of the finalists. And on who really doesn't stop fighting until the last vote is cast. I want a fight to the finish.


ika : Give us the rundown of the final 2. What do you make of their games?

Shelli's game was good, she adapted to whatever circumstances came her way and the blowups that happened. She also maintained strong enough connections with enough people where she was involved in multiple alliances. And she made the right choice at the end.

Steve's game I think is underrated but there's definitely flaws. Him not evicting me at final 4 to name one off the top of my head. However, he did have good social bonds and he kinda was that person who had wanted to get people to dislike him so that he could go further in the game and not seem like the biggest threat with people like Howard, Shelli and myself still left late in the game. I think he played more in the shadows.

boog : What was your favourite moment in this game?

Blowing up shit with my Head of Household and having everyone going like what the fuck just happened 

And making awesome friends. Thanks to all the hosts and even the housecallers for making this an unforgettable experience.

Wow! What a season! While I might have been disappointed in the results it was still an amazing ride.((Howard was robbed.. you played GREAT game ALLSTAR worthy finally lov you man ) In the end the whole thing felt like BB4 where the villain loses out to the better liked HG, but it’s a game and that’s just how things go sometimes. I’m really not sure why most of the jury thought that Shelli was that much better than Steve. Yes, she was decent at challenges in the second half of the season, but I definitely don’t think she had anything over him strategically.


A huge, HUGE thank you to boog I cannot imagine doing the show without you. I had so much fun doing it with you this season.
