Hello everyone! First of all, I want to thank the amazing hosts of this game - Kat, Nicole, James, Shir. This game was so much fun and you make it look effortless, although I know it wasn't. Also, thank you to the RNF alumni/Housecalls for your love and support. I'm happy to finally be a part of that alumni. <3
Besides having such great hosts, I think we had a pretty great cast. Whether I worked with you or worked against you this season, you all made the game so much fun! I had some type of bond with most of you ... some more than others, but you all played a part in why I'm here. Whether we were friends, allies, or rivals, it wouldn't have been such an amazing game without all of you!
This game has been such an emotional roller coaster. I went from being in a pretty good spot to having a blown-up spot, back to a decent spot, and finally ended up here. I don't want to go into too much detail as I think it will come out during Q&A, but I want to summarize why I believe I deserve your votes to win.
My strategy was to have fun, to be able to adapt when necessary, to be relevant to others' games, and to be true to myself first and foremost. I believe I accomplished those goals and played a pretty well-balanced game by winning key competitions, having key relationships, and making the right decisions at the right times.
I wasn't the biggest challenge beast in this game - not by a long shot. But, I did end up winning 5 HOH's, 1 BotB (thanks Kelsey ) and a POV. In the beginning of the game I'm sure no one would've predicted that but I worked pretty hard to win every challenge I took part in, and some of that work paid off. I committed to every single competition and tried to win. Whether it was endurance, comps based on good note-keeping, or comps where I needed to practice for hours on my phone/computer. Most importantly, I won the Final HOH and was able to not only ensure my spot in the F2, but decide who I would be sitting next to.
As I'm sure you all know (and knew a bit sooner than I wanted you to, thanks to Sherlock Kelsey), I had several alliances throughout the game. Not all had great names (GJ Steve!) but all were fun and all played an important part in my game. I was a part of: Blonde Windows, Steve's Angels, ESPN, SLASH and then a little later on, The Thirsty Threesome. I had so much fun and I thank all of you in those alliances with me for that! These alliances all helped my game in one way or another but also required me to walk a very tight and dangerous line in fear of being found out. Eventually, I was exposed for the double-dealing girl I am but I was able to recover and work my way back into the good graces of the people I needed to be in good graces with.
I tried to control my destiny in the game as best I could. When I wasn't in control, I was able to keep my head above water and I was able to adapt when I needed to.
With the exception of Liz, I either nominated or voted to evict every one of you. I want you to know there was never any malice intended, and I hope you all know that. I connected with every one of you on some level, whether briefly, or longer-term. I know some of the decisions I was making didn't seem to make sense at the time but hopefully they seem a bit clearer now.
I look forward to your questions and your comments. I have confidence you'll come to the right conclusion - that I deserve to win the game.
Thank you and please be gentle.
Good luck, Steve! <3
